NETFLIX - “THE PLAYLIST”
we are thrilled to announce our involvement in a significant location management project led by our Founder, Christian Nordenström.
- Netflix has initiated the production of a fictional drama series centered on Spotify, the Swedish startup that reshaped the music industry and emerged as a global music services leader. The untitled scripted series, set to premiere worldwide on Netflix in 2022, boasts a stellar cast unveiled by the streaming giant.
The six-part series features Edvin Endre ('Vikings') as Daniel Ek, Ulf Stenberg ('Beartown') as Per Sundin, Gizem Erdogan ('Love & Anarchy', 'Caliphate') as Petra Hansson, Joel Lützow ('Gåsmamman') as Andreas Ehn, and Christian Hillborg ('The Last Kingdom') as Martin Lorentzon.
Based on the book 'Spotify Untold' by Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud, both business reporters at Swedish Dagens Industri, each episode will run for forty-five minutes.
Netflix describes the series as a compelling narrative following young Swedish tech entrepreneur Daniel Ek and his key partners who revolutionized the industry by providing free and legal streamed music globally. It's a tale of unwavering determination, strong convictions, access, and ambitious dreams challenging the status quo in how we experience music.
Directed by Per-Olav Sørensen ('Home for Christmas') and with head screenwriter Christian Spurrier ('Silk'), the series is executive produced by Yellow Bird’s Berna Levin, produced by Eiffel Mattsson ('White Trash'), Line Producer Peter Onsmark, and development producer Luke Franklin ('Young Wallander').
Get ready for an immersive journey into the evolution of music consumption.
